Under the Carers Recognition Act 2004 all health and disability service providers must take all practical measures to ensure they comply with the Western Australian Carers Charter.
The Charter states that:
CAHS endeavours to involve carers, or persons or bodies that represent carers in policy and program development, or strategic or operational planning that might affect carers or the role of carers. The Health Service also reports annually to the Carers Advisory Council on how they have met their obligations under the legislation.
If you are a Carer accessing services through CAHS and have any concerns or queries, please feel free to contact the Customer Liaison Service.
