Patient and Family Voice
At the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS), we are committed to the pursuit of healthier lives for children and young people. To ensure we provide the best quality care, patient and family surveys were introduced in July 2016 at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) to gain a better understanding of what we do well and how we can improve.
A healthcare consulting company called Press Ganey manages the collection and analysis of surveys.
You may receive a survey in your letterbox when you return home. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential and stored securely.
Not all families receive a survey so your participation is extremely important to us. If you do not want your child’s details sent to Press Ganey, please ask your nurse for an opt-out form before going home.

The information families have provided so far has been very valuable. A solutions fair was held at PMH during May 2017, where families and staff helped us come up with solutions to improve the overall experience. Please see the PDF “You said, We did” for details.
Surveys are collected continuously; therefore patients and families can provide feedback regarding changes we have made on an ongoing basis. You can tell us if solutions are making a difference and where we still need to improve.
