This free group helps you get ready to introduce solids to your 6 month old baby

A Solid Start

This free group helps you get ready to introduce solids to your 6-month-old baby.

Who is this program for

The Solid Start program is a free program for parents or carers with a baby over 4 months of age, who want information on starting their baby on solid food.

What the program covers

The Solid Start program covers topics such as:

  • why and when to introduce solids
  • how to introduce solids and what to introduce first
  • moving from first foods to family foods
  • foods and drinks to avoid
  • food safety
  • common food allergies.

What is involved

This is a single, group session for up to 2hours.

Please do not bring babies and children over the age of 6 months to the session except for feeding. You will need to make your own child care arrangements for them.
