Newborn Emergency Transport Service

The Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS WA) is a mobile intensive care unit for babies, that transfers around 1,100 sick newborns and young infants yearly from their hospital of birth, to the NICU at Perth Children's Hospital or King Edward Memorial Hospital by road or air.

The service operates in the world’s largest retrieval area, spanning over 2500km, providing support to metropolitan, regional and remote centres.
