Clinical Trials Day

World Clinical Trials Day event - annually on 20 May

 Clincial Trials Day 2026

Our World Clinical Trials Day event is coming up on Wednesday 20 May

To celebrate we invite all Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) and The Kids researchers to showcase their work by hosting a public facing stall on the ground floor. To register your interest to have a stall this year from 10am to 12pm complete this form.

If you are a researcher, having a stall helps you give colleagues and the public special insights into the important work you do to improve the lives of sick children and young people in Western Australia.

The event provides fun, family-friendly educational activities including:

  • The Kids Institute discovery centre dress-ups
  • Captain Starlight face painting and colouring-in; and
  • other child-friendly crafts and games.

The day is themed around citrus - in recognition of the first known clinical trial which investigated the treatment of scurvy in the 1700s.

Registrations are now open for Clinical Trials-themed workshops hosted by the Research Education Program

Workshops

These provide opportunities to discuss prospective clinical trials with research experts from CAHS, The Kids Research Institute Australia and Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.
