Inforeels
A group of young people aged 14-20, including those with past experience of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), came together to create a series of social media style reels to help demystify the CAMHS experience and reduce stigma around seeking support.
Filmed at Warwick CAMHS and Swan CAMHS, the reels were designed to feel authentic, inclusive and relatable.
The content aims to answer common questions, reflect real environments, and help young people feel informed and reduce anxiety around attending appointments.
We are doing a study to find out what 12–17 year olds think about CAMHS and the Inforeels—share your thoughts for a chance to win 1 of 10 $50 gift cards.
There are 3 short videos in the series:
- Come with me to my CAMHS appointment – Join Isla as she shows you what it is like to go to a CAMHS appointment.
- Tiny mic, big question - CAMHS staff share what they want you to know about coming to CAMHS.
- The real deal about CAMHS – young people share their past experiences with CAMHS.
The 3 short reels below are clips taken from The real deal about CAMHS (the full video above). They break things down into what young people had to say before, during, and after their time at CAMHS, so you can get a real feel for what the journey is like.
- The real deal: thoughts before attending CAMHS – we asked young people about their thoughts before accessing CAMHS.
- The real deal: thoughts during CAMHS – we asked young people about their experiences accessing CAMHS.
- The real deal: thoughts after attending CAMHS – we asked young people about their thoughts after accessing CAMHS.
