    Needle-free flu vaccine for WA children ahead of 2026 season 06 October 2025 Western Australian children aged 2 to under 12 will soon have access to FluMist, a needle-free nasal spray flu vaccine. Backed by a $7.24 million WA Government investment, the initiative aims to boost vaccination rates, reduce flu-related hospitalisations, and ease pressure on the health system ahead of the 2026 flu season.

    Congratulations to our Stars of CAHS winners 17 February 2020 Las​t Friday, Aboriginal Health Worker Josie Ford from Armadale Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, was presented with her Stars of CAHS Award by CAHS Chief Executive Dr Aresh Anwar and PCH Foundation's Heiko Plange, representing our award sponsors. “Josie had an idea to create an Aboriginal health and wellbeing festival in response to the growing number of suicides in the Aboriginal community and she made it happen! About 18 months of hard work later, the festival took place. It was so successful it is now going to be an annual event. People like Josie are few and far between, she cares so much about what she does, and digs deep and gives so much of herself to her role.     Expressions of interest open for new Midland Health Hub 11 February 2020 The Child and Adolescent Health Service has secured funding to build a community hub for children's health in Midland. The community hub will co-locate community health, mental health and other services in a ‘one stop shop’ approach. The intention for this first hub is in providing a contemporary designed facility that provides integrated and coordinated health services in partnership with key government and non-government collaborative partners.     Welcome to Neonatology 23 January 2020 Neonatology supports the sickest babies and infants in Western Australia through: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), including the Special Care Nursery Neonatal Emergency Transport Service (NETS WA) Perron Rotary Express Milk Bank (PREM Bank), located at KEMH Neonatal Follow-Up Program Outpatient services Centre for Neonatal Research and Education. This services are supported by a team of over 500 dedicated staff, who look after our littlest people. Find out more about our Neonatology service here.

    Our stars of CAHS winners 21 November 2019 The Stars of CAHS Staff Awards recognise and celebrate employee efforts aligned with the CAHS values of compassion, collaboration, equity, respect, excellence and accountability. This quarter's winner was Jodi Mann, Neuromuscular Clinical Nurse at PCH.Jodie was awarded with the Stars of CAHS award in recognition of her demonstration of the CAHS value of excellence. Jodi's work has been fundamental in the instituting a life-changing treatment for our patients. Here are some words from her nomination: "Jodi runs our joint Neurology and Respiratory Neuromuscular clinic and has always been the key player in ensuring care coordination for this patient group. She exemplified all of the CAHS values when instituting a life-changing treatment for our patients.
